Intek has been making free weights in the United States since 1994, when the company rebuilt the pro-style dumbbell from the ground up. That is still the core of the line: dumbbells, bars and plates, made to a commercial standard rather than adapted from a home product.
Finish is where Intek separates itself. The same dumbbell is available in urethane, Cerakote, stainless steel, raw steel and rubber — so the weight set can match a bright amenity room, a serious performance floor, or a clubhouse that wants the equipment to look like part of the design rather than an afterthought.
Custom laser engraving is available, which means a club, community or clinic can put its own logo on the equipment. On a branded amenity space that detail does more for how the room is received than anything else in the budget.
